How many organizations can I donate to from my transaction?

You may donate to up to three qualified organizations from any sale or purchase transaction.

Is there a cap on the amount of money RAI keeps if I have a large contract price?

Yes, RAI caps its share of any single donation at $3,000.00. This allows the charity to take advantage of larger salesprices to fund their organizations goals.

Why would a realtor participate in RAI?

Our realtors participate for various reasons, but paramount among them is their desire to help fund local charities and to support their local communities.

What if my charity isn’t listed on your site?

You may register your charity on our site and we will obtain the necesecary paperwork to qualify your charity.

Do I get a tax write off for my donation?

No, if you are a seller the expense of sale is deductable to you as an expense of sale. If you are a purchaser, you didn't pay any commission and consequently you have nothing to deduct. What does it cost me to participate? Nothing, your donation is funded completely through the real estate commission.

Do I have to use your realtor or can I use my own?

You may use your own realtor if you first register with RAI and we refer your case to the realtor you choose.

Can my donation be anonymous?

Yes, you may donate anonymously.
